Do you have a favourite word in English, or any other language? We were in a city bookstore the other day and came across a most beautiful title:
Lost in Translation: An Illustrated Compendium of Untranslatable Words from Around the World by Ella Frances Sanders.
Have you read this?
Well, you must. You'll discover words like komorebi, a Japanese word used to describe the phenomena when sunlight filters through the leaves of trees. Who knew words could describe something so specific?
So do you have a favourite word? We'd love to hear your thoughts!
As for my favourite word? Mine is probably wanderlust.
Merriam-Webster Dictionary defines wanderlust as:
: strong longing for or impulse toward wandering.
- : a strong desire to travel
And who doesn't love travel, right?
